Big Dream Academy Art Contest Guideline
Who can Join?
Open to K–12 students and anyone who has a Big Dream or can express what dreaming big means. Free to participate!
To Participate
Step 1:
Submit an entry form below by:
Saturday 11/8/25 for all Categories.
Step 2:
Submit Artwork In Person (non-digital):

Awards & Regognition
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be selected in each category. Winning works will be featured on Big Dream Academy’s website and official social media pages. All winning entries will also be displayed at Big Dream Academy during the Art Exhibition.
Submission Guidelines by Category
Painting
Medium: watercolor, acrylic, oil, gouache, or mixed media on canvas or sturdy paper
Size: maximum 18” x 24” (unframed)
Must be dry and ready for display
Drawing
Medium: pencil, charcoal, ink, colored pencil, or pastel
Size: maximum 18” x 24” (unframed)
Fixative spray recommended for protection
Poetry
Length: maximum 40 lines
Submit written lyrics typed
Size: maximum 11” x 14” (unframed)
May include a brief reflection (optional)
Photography
Format: color or black & white
Print Size: 8” x 10” or 11” x 14” (mounted or unmounted)
Digital submission: high-resolution JPEG (min. 2MB, max. 10MB)
Digital Art
Format: JPG, PNG, or PDF
Resolution: 300 DPI minimum
Digital submission: up to 15MB
Original digital artwork only (AI-generated work not accepted)
Song Composition
Submit: MP3, WAV, or MP4 (max 4 minutes)
Include written lyrics
Size: maximum 11” x 14” (unframed)
Must be original; may include instrumental or vocal recording
File Submission Requirements
- Submit digital files via contest entry form or send email to info@bigdreamacademy.org
- File name format: LastName_FirstName_Category_Title
Example: Johnson_Audrey_Painting_BigDreamSunrise - Art Contest entry form must be submitted online by 11/8/25
Artwork Drop-Off
Actual artwork (painting, drawing, or photography) must be delivered in person to Big Dream Academy
